Portland Boot Camp FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a guarantee?
Portland Women's Boot Camp RunnersAbsolutely.

Join camp and put it to the test. You must agree it is everything I say it is and more. Otherwise, just say the word and I’ll issue a fast, no-questions-asked refund. Even if it is the last second of the last day of the month. That means you get a full month to decide if it was worth it.

I’m putting myself on the hook with this guarantee, but I’m not worried because I know the Portland Adventure Boot Camp System flat out works and you WILL get amazing results if you follow my system. It’s tested and proven...and it’s fun.

Where is camp?
Portland Boot Camp is conveniently located at Daniel's private gym space (Portland Fitness Gym) at 1606 NE 37th avenue right off the 84 at Broadway and NE 37th. Click here for a map. During the summer, we may make excursions outdoors to US Grant Park.

Please note: On Wednesdays, Boot Camp meets outdoors at Mt. Tabor for "Road Work Day"...rain or shine. See the Oregonian article about it here: Portland Boot Camp at Mt. Tabor

New evening hours and locations may be added soon. Let us know if you are interested in a different location or area of town.

When is Camp?
Camp meets 5 days per week, Monday-Friday 12 months a year. Except major holidays.  To see the yearly schedule, click here.

What time does camp meet and what days per week?
Each camp is an hour a day.  There are 5 class times daily: 5:30-6:30am, 7:15-8:15am, 9-10am, 4:45-5:45pm and 6-7pm. You may choose to attend 3, 4, or 5 days per week. Or you may choose to purchase a monthly membership for either 3 days per week or unlimited days per month. If you choose to attend 3 days a week, we suggest you go MWF. But if your schedule won’t permit those 3 days, any other 3 will work. If you start with 3 days and want to upgrade we will just prorate the difference.

New times will be added soon. Let us know if you are interested in different class times.

Stretching at Portland Women's Boot CampHow much does camp cost?
To hire a good trainer you would easily pay $65 per hour (or more to train with the best.) That means 20 sessions would be a whopping $1300, which comes to more than a dollar a minute.

For years, clients paid that much and more to train privately with me.  However, you won't have to pay that. A single month is $329 for 5 days per week, $279 for 4 days per week, or $239 for 3 days per week. That’s around $15 per session with a proven and experienced CPT.  I also offer a Monthly VIP Membership at a discount...available on the JOIN HERE Tab.

What exactly is Boot Camp?
Portland Adventure Boot Camp is a unique, safe, and exciting way for women to have FUN with a great group of women while they reshape their bodies. There is no yelling or judgment. In fact, it’s more like a fitness party than a traditional class. You’ll probably make new friends for life.

We do bodyweight training, dumbbell training, some running, we jump rope, band work, circuit training, special trips to Mt. Tabor, some Pilates moves, some stretching, some yoga, we play fitness games, we laugh, we kid around...but we take our fitness very seriously. You’ll even get to use exclusive devices I built just for camp. Nobody has these anywhere in Portland – and they literally give each workout the FAT BURNING POWER OF TWO!

The beauty of camp is this: not only is it fun, but never boring because every single day is different. We are way past 1000 workouts now and no two have been exactly alike!
You’ll get to take advantage of my years of experience and find out how to take control of your body and reshape it as you see fit... all while having a blast.
Plus it’s 100% GUARANTEED.

What do I need to bring to camp?

You will need to bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, a foam roller (I get mine at Fit Right Northwest on NW 23rd avenue.), and a sense of adventure.

What kinds of women join your camp?
You’ll be inspired and motivated by women who are committed to improving their health. Now, some of our campers are beginners wanting to jump-start their program, and some are veteran exercisers, ready for a new challenge. Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it is not required. Don’t worry I'll safely adjust your workout, so it’s just right for you.

What fitness level is the class? Will I fit in?
There is no set level for the class. I will encourage you to push yourself while reminding you to listen to your body. A word of caution: if you have more than 100 pounds to lose, have bad knees or bad back, boot camp may not be right for you. Please contact me or my wife Beth to discuss your fitness level if you have concerns.

What about a diet plan?

I’ve got you covered.  As part of camp, you’ll get a complimentary copy of my book “The Fat Blaster Eating Guide”. This guide is straightforward, easy to do, and flat out works. It’s literally responsible for hundreds of pounds lost. One woman actually lost 15lbs in a single camp. I tell you exactly what works what supplements work and what don’t. What foods work and what to avoid like the plague. No fad dieting. Just straightforward RESULTS!

Will I get sore?

This is not an easy class. That’s why we get incredible results. So, many boot campers feel soreness for the first few days. After that, you may experience occasional moderate soreness. It’s all part of the process of improving your physical condition and moving towards the new you. It's the good kind of soreness.

Will we get Before and After measurements – do we get an orientation?
You’ll get a free 30 minute evaluationbefore and free 15 minute follow ups with me.  I'll explain everything and we'll talk about any questions or concerns you have.  We'll go over your goals and review your medical and fitness history.  We take simple measurements to find out where you are now if you want to. We don’t judge you by what the measurements show. It is completely confidential. It’s strictly for post-camp comparison so you can see how well you did.  We will examine your posture to determine if your back is healthy.  We will analyze your body composition and estimate your body fat percentage. 5 days per week campers can expect a 1-3% reduction in body fat in their first 4-week camp.
