and submit it electronically.  Once we have received your registration and boot camp payment (you can pay online with a credit card or mail check or money order), we will send you a confirmation email and call you soon after to schedule your pre-camp evaluation!

2. What is the pre-evaluation about?
The evaluation is very simple and takes about 20 minutes to complete.  Here’s what to expect:

- I'll give you a welcome pack explaining everything and we'll talk about any questions or concerns you have.  We'll go over your goals and review your medical history.  Then we'll take simple measurements to find out where you are now.  We don’t judge you by what the measurements show.  It is strictly for post-camp comparison so you can see how well you did!  These numbers and all other private information are always
kept private and strictly confidential.

- We will examine your posture to determine if your back is healthy.  We can modify exercises if your back, neck, or shoulders are sore or previously injured.

- We will determine your current weight.  Again, the number doesn’t matter.  We just need to know the beginning point so we can accurately track your progress.

- We will analyze your body composition and estimate your body fat percentage.  5 day/week campers can expect a 1-5% reduction in body fat in their first 4-week camp!

3What kind of women join your camp?
You’ll be inspired, encouraged, and motivated by other women just like you who are truly committed to improving their health and fitness. 

Now, some of our campers are beginners -- wanting to jump-start their program, and some are veteran exercisers, ready for a new challenge.  Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it is not required.  Don’t worry…I'll safely adjust your workout, so it’s just right for you.

4. What fitness level is the class... will I fit in?
There is no set level for the class – you go at your pace, with the instructor encouraging you to push yourself while also reminding you to listen to your body.  You’ll be surprised at how well you fit in, as long as you come with a positive attitude and are ready to work hard.  Of course, if you are a true beginner you may join the beginner's boot camp.

5. Will I get really sore?
Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first few days.  After that, you may experience occasional moderate soreness.  It’s all part of the process of improving your physical condition and moving towards the new you! It's the GOOD kind of soreness.

6. How fast will I see results?
Strength and performance improvements can take place in as little as 3 days. Visual improvements can take from 2-4 weeks depending on your effort level.  But some see changes in their waistline after just a few days!  After the second week, it is common to see as much as 3 or more pounds of weight loss.  Some may see results more in the way of inch-loss or looser clothes.  Remember, everyone is different and results do vary. 

7. What if my alarm doesn't go off or I feel sick one day... can I make up a class?
Ooops!  Sorry, I don't have “make-up” classes.  If you miss a class…you simply miss a class.  Except for unforeseen circumstances, I expect and want you to workout everyday.  That’s how you get the best and quickest results!  Besides, your camp mates will be there pulling for you to show up every day.  You don’t want to let them down, do you?

8.  What if it rains?
Come on… like THAT ever happens in Portland!  Light rain is common in the Portland area; however, if it does begin to rain heavier during a session, we have a covered pavilion to continue to exercise.  We will keep you posted about where to meet for camp in case of severe weather.  Note: Late Fall & Winter camps will be held indoors primarily... so rain is not a concern at that time. 

9. What do I do after camp is over?
On the last day of camp, you are encouraged to schedule your post-evaluation.  You will be re-measured and re-tested (Post-evaluations usually take about 20 minutes to complete).  You’ll be so excited about your progress and success, you will probably choose to do what many (up to 80%) of our campers do… sign up for another boot camp and repeat the proven process!  Many women decide to make it a permanent and regular part of their fitness lifestyle.  It’s a fitness lifestyle that keeps you motivated, maintains vibrant health, and keeps your exercise challenging and effective.
